Abstract. The article touches on the problem of organizing efficient professional training of the future translators. In this connection the paper examines the formation and development of the linguistic and intercultural competences of the translation department students. According to the authors, integrative approach to teaching linguistic disciplines and disciplines of intercultural orientation is a condition for optimization of their professional training.
