Abstract.
The article deals with different approaches to the analysis and description of the plane of content of grammatical categories of the language system. The author proposes to differentiate the following levels of linguistic analysis: the level of the abstract grammatical system of the language; the level of the representation of the abstract grammatical system in lexical units; the level of functioning of the grammatical system in text.
