Abstract.
The object of the research in this article is the problem of word formation of neologisms at the present stage of the German language development. The analysis is carried out by the example of the social and political neologisms, selected by continuous sampling of the print media sources. The paper presents the possible ways of word formation, and identifies the most productive ones.
