IMPLICIT STRATEGIES TO EVADE AN ANSWER IN THE ENGLISH DIALOGUE EXPRESSED BY THE SHIFT OF A COMMUNICATIVE DOMINANT

Abstract.
The article examines the implicit technique to evade an answer by the shift of the communicative dominants which is implemented in the manipulations with the meaning on intentionally false interpretation of a statement. The authors discovered the types of semantic shifts, identified the correlations of cognitive and pragmatic meaning of the linguistic units in a remark-stimulus and a remark-response, analyzed the linguistic means and revealed the reasons for which the communicants resort to such manipulations.
