THE EVALUATION NOMINATION IN TRANSLATION

Abstract.
The article illustrates separate problems, connected with the translation of evaluation vocabulary. The review of existing points of view on the evaluation as a linguistic category is presented. The analysis of the peculiarities of translation of lexical and phraseological units with the meaning of evaluation is conducted; the direction and the character of translation transformations, conditioned by both linguistic and extralinguistic factors, are revealed; the causes of incomplete coincidence of semantic structure in translation equivalents in the English, Russian and French languages (the loss of some semes, increment of meanings) are observed.
