ARTISTIC COMPREHENSION OF THE PHILOSOPHY OF GNOSTICS IN THE NOVEL BY L. LEONOV “THE PYRAMID”

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the analysis of Gnostic motives in the novel by L. Leonov “The Pyramid”, the central of which are: the idea of the world creation as a fatal mistake, the motive of secret knowledge (gnosis), the image of Sofia, the image of Demiurge. The paper shows the formation of a conceptually notional main body of the novel with the help of Gnostic motives, bringing out the historical realities at the level of metaphysical comprehension: the struggle of Good and Evil does not only explain the peculiarities of social development, but it also urges the search after the truth.
