Abstract.
The article substantiates the importance of teaching the peculiarities and techniques of translation of the German language constructions, containing the words-reduplicants, to students; the means of reduplication formation are examined, the peculiarities of using these words in various linguistic styles are described, and also the basic techniques of transmission of the studied linguistic constructions from the German language into the Russian language are given.
