Abstract.
The article is devoted to one of the most important urban spaces of the novel by B. Pasternak “Doctor Zhivago” - Moscow streets. The paper focuses not only on the means to represent outdoor scenes in the novel but also on their symbolic value, “involvement” in the destiny and story of the main personages - Yuri and Lara. The authors discover the correlation between the representation of a city in the novel by B. Pasternak “Doctor Zhivago” and an urbanistic paradigm in the works by A. Blok and V. Bryusov.
