Abstract.
The article deals with the problems of the history of literature, the theory and artistic criticism of the contemporary North Caucasian literary process of the post-Soviet period. The author carries out a comparative analysis of the state of science about literature of the Soviet and post-Soviet periods and identifies side effects requiring a scientific solution. The significance of artistic criticism in the formation of a reader’s view on literature is highlighted.
