INTERACTIVE EDUCATIONAL METHODS IN TEACHING ELECTIVE COURSES OF HISTORY

Abstract. The article examines the use of the interactive methods of teaching a history course at a higher education institution. The author determines the positive results of these methods use basing on the personal experience of teaching an elective course. Special attention is paid to the pedagogical techniques aimed at the formation of historical thinking, a value-oriented and tolerant personality. The organization of problem-chronological teaching in a dialogue mode presented by the author contributes to revealing the essential cause-effect connections of historic events, the comprehension of the personality factor in the history of Russia.
