Abstract.
The article is devoted to studying the representation of the nation-wide and professional concepts “Perevodchik” and TRANSLATOR/ INTERPRETER in the Russian and American conceptual spheres. By lexicographical data analysis the authors identify the nucleuses of the concepts under study; using the free associative experiment data the paper describes the periphery of the nation-wide and professional concepts “Perevodchik” and TRANSLATOR/INTERPRETER in the Russian and American conceptual spheres.
