PecULIARITIES OF USING FORMULAE OF NEGATION AND FORMULAE OF MAXIMAL GENERALITY IN “THE POEM OF FERNAN GONZALEZ”

Abstract. This article by the material of “The Poem of Fernan Gonzalez” discusses two kinds of linguistic formulae - the formulae of negation (which are equal in the meaning to the negative words nadie (nobody), nada (nothing)), and the formulae expressing the idea of maximal generality (which are equal to the pronoun todos (everybody) and the adverbs por todas partes (everywhere) and siempre (always)). The paper determines the structure of these formulae, their variants, analyzes their use in the text of the mentioned monument of the Spanish medieval literature.
