Abstract.
The article considers the problem of appearance of regional variants of the English language. The author attempts to analyze the causes of distortion of the Standard English language. The paper shows both superficial causes (various kinds of interferences), and root causes (the colonial past and financial failure of the state to provide studying English by the population). The novelty of the study is in the complex analysis of factors, which have an impact on the appearance and strengthening of regional variants of the English language.
