THE CONCEPT “MAN” IN CHECHEN LINGUO-CULTURE (BY THE MATERIAL OF DICTIONARIES)

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of the structural content of the concept “man” in Chechen linguo-culture by the material of dictionaries. The analyzed concept suggests a research within the framework of the gender category. The concept “man” functioning in the language area of the Chechen people is a representation of the prevailing ideas about the male gender role: success, activity, independence, need to be different from a woman. Gender-marked lexemes confirm the dominant role of a man.
