Abstract.
The problem of achieving adequacy in translating non-equivalent vocabulary is one of the most urgent problems of modern theory and practice of translation, due to the specificity of the study object, which includes the complex interaction of identity and difference, meaning and use, conceptual and semantic plans of a lexical item. The article presents a comparative analysis of translation solutions using a number of lexical transformations.
