Abstract.
The article describes the results of prosodic research conducted by the material of the English language and aimed to arrange textual prosodic structure. Prosodically marked textual elements served as a structural basis. The experiment focused on textual continuum identified prosodic meaningful blocks which possess the similar formal features in the different texts and perform identical functions.
