Abstract.
The article traces the evolution and peculiarities of the artistic and philosophical perception of the Turkish text of various Sufi directions of the court (Divan) Literature of the Middle Ages by the outstanding Tatar poet Gabdulla Tuqay (1886-1913), and also provides a brief analysis of the literary process of the Tanzimat (the Reformation) epoch and the periods of the reign of “the strangler of freedom” Sultan Abdul Hamid and the Young Turkish movement of the modern age.
