Abstract.
The idioms and Biblical expressions represent the regulation of the interaction between members of society through assessments that reveal the general principles of morality, norm, notion of good and evil adopted in the given society. The English and Russian linguo-communities can coincide or differ in linguistic creativity. The analysis of the idioms and Biblical expressions illustrates four groups of this fragment of the semantic space of a language, depending on the expression of national identity and cultural conditioning by them.
