Influence of Books on the Formation of Heroes-Teenagers’ Personality (by the Material of the Modern Children’s and Adolescent Prose)

Abstract.
The article analyses literary preferences of heroes-readers in the books “Spoilers” by E. Ozhich, “Anka M and Anka P” by T. Mart, “Away with Dead Souls!” by A. Zhvalevsky and E. Pasternak, “Literodura” by Y. Linde and considers influence of books on teenagers in the modern children’s and adolescent prose. The authors identify the following types of personages-readers: a reader who gradually improves his reading skills, a competent reader, and an incompetent reader. The analysis revealed transformation of heroes-teenagers under the influence of fiction. Interesting observations are presented: reading helps the heroes to avoid pubertal problems, to find their place in life, forms culture of communication.
