Abstract.
The study aims to systematise the language means used for creating psychologism in L. Slimani’s novel “Chanson douce”. Scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that peculiarities of functioning of the lexical, syntactic and stylistic devices used by the author to make a psychological description of characters are identified, the main motifs in creative work and features of the individual style of the modern writer Leïla Slimani are determined. As a result of the study, the researchers have identified the main features of psychological description in the author’s work, as well as the dominant compositional devices and language means at various levels which facilitate embodiment of the author’s ideological attitude.
