Contextual and Semantic Characteristics of Realia in Newspaper-Style Texts in the Modern German Language

Abstract.
The article describes the contextual and semantic characteristics of German realia in the newspaper-style texts. The paper aims to identify the peculiarities of using realia at the level of text, namely in German texts of newspaper style. The scientific originality of the research consists in the complex interpretation of the German realia status depending on the text style in accordance with their functional-semantic and stylistic features. The results of the research have shown that the realia in German texts allow realizing stylistic and functional-semantic criteria of their use for the narration at the text level, and their contextual analysis allows different interpretation of realia depending on the text style and the intention of the author of the article.
