Communication of Conceptual Information in Poetic Text Translation (by the Material of A. Rimbaud’s Sonnet “Vowels”)

Abstract.
The aim of the study is to determine the features peculiar to a poetic text characterised by high information density. The main issue is the equivalence of translation reception of the conceptual information in A. Rimbaud’s sonnet “Vowels” that objectifies the author’s intention. Scientific novelty lies in analysing the syntactic level and graphic representation of the original text and its Russian-language interpretations. As a result of the study, it has been found that the equivalent communication of the logical-communicative level by translators in the analysed variants determined adequate reproduction of the factual content of the sonnet. At the same time, there is a loss of conceptual information of the source text at the level of structure, predicativity, modality, affectivity, as well as the graphic tools used.
