Abstract.
The purpose of the study is to determine the particularities of English to Russian translation of legal terms in the texts of “General Terms and Conditions of Delivery and Sale”. Scientific novelty lies in the fact that the texts of “General Terms and Conditions of Delivery and Sale” in English have been studied for the first time; an analysis of their translations into Russian, as well as an analysis of translation errors found in the translations has been carried out. As a result, the researchers have identified difficulties in translating such texts, have found specialised terminology from other fields of knowledge, for example, from the banking sector and the field of cargo transportation. Translation variants for the main legal terms have been proposed.
