DRYING OF IMPREGNATED ABRASIVE TOOLS. PART 1. MICROKINETICS OF PROCESS

Abstract. The article describes the microkinetics of the drying process of impregnated abrasive tools (AT). The analysis of the scientific investigations of the kinetics of wet impregnated AT drying is proposed enabling to determine the kinetic regularities of the process and the legitimacy of diffusion equation use for the description of moisture migration process in them. On the basis of the study and analysis of the structural-sorption and diffusion properties of AT, the kinetic peculiarities of the process of their drying, the expediency of the consideration of drying kinetics at the lower (microkinetic) level and the upper (macrokinetic) level is determined for the development of the methodology of the engineering estimation of impregnated AT drying instrument design.
