Abstract. Devotional Muslims composition of Povolzhie region in the 1940 - 1980s according to the age-related, sex, social and other characteristics is analyzed. The religious standard and ceremonies of Povolzhie Muslims are characterized. The main directions of the Soviet state confessional policy are shown.
