Abstract. The article reveals the peculiarities of the interpenetration of certain architecture genres elements (castle, cult, civil) and its subsequent transformation in Medieval Europe regions. Special attention is paid to the specific influence of military-chivalry architecture - castles - on other architecture types under the conditions of European atomism and constant military conflicts.
