Abstract. In the article the peculiarities of building activity regulation in Upper Povolzh'e monasteries (Tver', Yaroslavl' and Kostroma eparchies) in the second half of the XVIII^th - the beginning of the XX^th centuries are researched. The author considers the basic stages of construction documents creation, the procedure of projects concurrence with civil and church authorities and measures for providing high-value objects safety.
