MODERNIZATION AND EVOLUTION: APPROACHES TO STUDYING EVERYDAY LIFE OF PRE-REFORM PROVINCIAL MERCHANT CLASS OF URAL PROVINCES

Abstract. The author reveals the semantic content of the different models of historical development within the limits of modernization theory and pays special attention to the degree of the correspondence of the state of provincial pre-reform merchant class of Ural provinces to the criteria of different modernization conceptions.
