THE YOUNG LADIES OF AVIGNON BY PICASSO AS THE PROLOGUE TO THE NEW ART OF THE XXTH CENTURY

Abstract. The author reveals the unique character of Pablo Picasso's painting The Young Ladies of Avignon as the phenomenon of early cubism form, pays special attention to the preconditions of its creation and explains the nature of the artist's creative temperament in the context of his transitional periods.
