Abstract. The author pays attention to tribal relations preserved among some peoples in modern Russia, tells that the unity of culture, personality and society, underlying social-cultural approach, conditions those foundations, on which they are based, and singles out the following social-cultural foundations: the features of society social structure, culture as a universal foundation of human activity, values, language and stereotypes.
