Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the peculiarities of political myth-making within the limits of modern Russian political culture functioning with special attention paid to the key features of the Russian all-state political leader V. V. Putin's image mythologization. The author came to the conclusion that political myth played the most important role in V. V. Putin's political image formation at the beginning of the 2000s in the context of its perception by the mass consciousness of modern Russia population.
