Abstract. The author discusses dangerous knowledge phenomenon bringing new social and civilizational risks to humanity, pays special attention to the genesis, formation and essence of the concept dangerous knowledge, considers the problem of scientific and social rationality correlation, and shows that social rationality becomes the basis of science and scientific knowledge demythologization and demystification.
