Abstract. The author discusses Russian scientists and thinkers' attitudes and conceptions in the ХIХth-ХХthcenturies on the formation of science and technology, shows West-Europeantheories influence on the understanding of science and technology development in the Russian society,presents philosophers' views and positions, which analyze the problems of technology development throughout history,considers the aspects of technology and society interaction, and paysparticular attention to scientific-technological revolution influence on society development.
