RECONSTRUCTION OF MYTHOLOGICAL MODEL OF THE WORLD BY THE EXAMPLE OF ANIMALS' NAMES

Kindrya Nataliya Aleksandrovna
First Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov

Abstract. The author presents the reconstruction of the archaic model of the world by the example of animals' names. Metaphoric images in the course of history transformed into symbols, and formed the basis of the symbolism of many zoonyms. Zoomorphic code is one of the most ancient and developed mythological codes almost of all the nations' world models, and it is an extremely stable and frequent means of worldview expression. It should be taken into account that archaic thinking is expressed in a very special chain of associations that is different from the modern one and caused by one or another object of the world around including animals.
Key words and phrases: этимология, символика, компоненты-зоонимы, сигнификат, мифопоэтическое мышление, картина мира, архаичная культура, etymology, symbols, components-zoonyms, signification, mythopoetic thinking, worldview, archaic culture
