CULT BUILDINGS IN SIBERIAN CITIES SQUARES FORMATION (THE XVII TH - THE LAST THIRD OF THE ХVIII TH CENTURY)

Abstract. Basing on rich archival material the author reveals the significance of cult buildings in the formation of the squares in Siberian cities with diverse city forming factors (cities-forts, cites-fortresses, cities-factories), analyzes the sequence of cult buildings construction in fortress squares, which were the public centers of fortresses, and reveals the city forming functions of a temple, as a rule dominant in the architectural space of a city (the XVII th - the last third of the ХVIII th century).
