Abstract. The author studies the political work of one of the greatest social-political and public figures of Ukraine of the 1990s V. Chornovol (1937-1999), in particular considers his participation in the elections to the Ukrainian Parliament of the second (1994-1998) and third (1998-2002) convocations, and comes to the conclusion that V. Chornovol’s ideas of proportional electoral system introduction into parliamentary elections, the creation of right forces pre-election association for the parliament effective activity and the most complete representation of right forces in it are very significant.
