FEDOR STEPUN: TOWARDS TRANSCENDENTAL (KANTIAN) EXISTENCE

Abstract. The author describes the origins of F. Stepun’s gnosiological views, determines the place and role of his ideas in the Kantian philosophy, pays special attention to the research of the connection between F. Stepun and I. Kant’s philosophies, as well as the originality of the Kantian philosophy interpretation by the Russian thinkers, and shows the uniqueness of F. Stepun’s philosophy, in particular in the revelation of the new methodological basis, which lies in the foundation of the whole Kantian transcendentalism and is expressed by the transcendental idea of positive unity, comprehended in existential experience.
