Abstract. The author conducts the analytical research of the post-soviet space phenomenon, considers various theories, including self-organization theory, which led to the USSR collapse, and later to the processes that still continue now, and undertakes an attempt of the theoretical interpretation of this phenomenon in the context of transformation processes in international relations within the former Soviet Union.
