STATE-LEGAL SUPPORT OF INFORMATION FUNCTION IN HISTORY OF RUSSIA

Abstract. The authors analyze the main stages of the legal protection development of state-significant information in Russia during the period from the XV th-XVI th centuries till the XX th century, when the centralized system of state and official secret protection was formed; and mention that some features of this system and accumulated experience can be used under the contemporary conditions.
