TO THE QUESTION OF CONTEMPORANEITY DEFINITION: POST-SECULARITY OR SECULARIZATION IN ACTION?

Abstract. The author determines religion place in the social-cultural reality of postmodernity in the light of secularization problematic represented in the contemporary western philosophical-sociological tradition, by the example of the post-secular society conception conducts a critical analysis of the term "post-secularity" relevant usage with reference to the differentiation between secularism and secularization in its two aspects: as a social phenomenon and as a worldview transformation, clarifies the unprecedentedness of contemporaneity as a "post-secularistic" age, and undertakes an attempt to reevaluate the relativization process.
