MATERNITY AND CHILD WELFARE SERVICE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Abstract. The author analyzes the process of state maternity and child welfare service formation and development within the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in the 1920s, shows the features of maternity and child welfare service institutions activity: Mother-and-Child Home, pregnant women and children’s health clinics, children’s preventive out-patient departments, the system of medical obstetrics; and presents the basic problem points and territorial features of the process of the state policy of maternity and child welfare service implementation within the Yakut ASSR.
