SOCIAL GROUPS AS DEVELOPMENT FACTORS OF SOCIAL NETWORKS

Abstract. The article investigates the role of social groups in the development of social networks. The author argues for the idea that negative stereotypes developed by a social group in regard to social networks manifest themselves as an indicator of the role of a social group. Special attention is paid to the classification of the key groups, to which the author refers the state, producers, users and "non-users". The paper explores the results of the content-analysis of the news items of the TV and radio company "Vesti", according to which the role of users in the formation of social networks is the chief one, and the role of the state is episodical. The author concludes that the role of the opponents of social networks and producers is of low significance, it is attributed to the large-scale implementation of networks in everyday practice and their permanent technical improvement.
