"STATE" AND "PRIVATE" IN SEMANTIC PROGRAMME OF THE APRAKSINS’ MANOR PARK OLGOVO

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the semantic structure of the Apraksins’ manor park Olgovo, which was created in the last quarter of the XVIII - at the beginning of the XIX century. The park space organically combined the elements in its structure, some of which allegorically narrated about the owner’s heroic merits to the Fatherland, while others could tell the visitor about the privacy of the manor owner. Close intertwining of these elements created unique environment, in which a particular owner’s multi-faceted personality was represented. The topicality of the work is in the fact that it for the first time considers the semantics of the park of just this manor, which is an example of the wealthy nobleman’s grand residence.
