DEVELOPMENT OF FOLK-PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE AMONG KOBZA AND LYRE PLAYERS

Abstract. The article considers the Ukrainian melodious epos, which is an integrated system, temporally distanced. The author analyzes the aspects of the cultural continuity of the Ukrainian kobza and lyre players and the circles of comic minstrels that, in their turn, discover the correlation with the Greek and Byzantine art. The paper characterizes different types of epic performers and reveals the international tendencies of their activity. The author pays special attention to the social and educational role of epic performers and analyzes their influence on the populace.
