PECULIARITIES OF METHODS AND TECHNOLOGY OF PAINTING IN WORKS OF THE UKRAINIAN PLEIN-AIR PAINTERS

Abstract. Plein-air tradition in the Ukrainian painting from the middle of the 90s of the XX century has been going through true renaissance. During the time of the rapid pace of historical development painters look for more mobile ways to work. A spontaneous sketch in plein-air is perceived by lots of landscape painters as a final goal in creativity now. Plein-air landscape becomes an essential phenomenon, which meets the requirements of time. In the article the means of the technology and methods of painting that are used in their work by artists - the members of modern creative plein-airs without a possibility to paint long and carefully and to treat pictorial surface as it is possible in the conditions of the studio are considered. Therefore, painting in plein-air has a number of peculiarities, which are inherent to just plein-air and connected with the limited time of work performance.
