POLITICAL LEADERSHIP AND MASS MEDIA: PRINCIPLES OF INTERACTION AT THE PRESENT STAGE

Abstract. Investigating interdependence developed between mass media and political leadership the author reveals the most typical and stable trends of their interaction and mutual influence under the conditions of information society. The permanent and inevitable contact of the institution of political leadership with the institution of mass media makes it actual to identify the principles, on the basis of which their activity is implemented. So the article is devoted to the identification and description of these principles.
