MENTAL EXPERIMENT IN MUSIC OF EARLY MODERN PERIOD AS REFLECTION OF PEOPLE’S WORLD-VIEW OF THE EPOCH

Kul'bizhekov Viktor Nikolaevich
Krasnoyarsk

Abstract. Mental experiment as a base of the West European music of the early modern period and a form of theoretical modelling created conditions for the immensely magnificent flowering of music art, which was notable for the variety of forms and styles. Simultaneity and matching of different styles and schools in one epoch reflected the complexity and contradictoriness of the period that followed the Renaissance. The result of the work of mental experiment is an artistic image embodying the world view, its model in the form of how it was understood by the great composers of the early modern period.
