MOBILIZATION OF PEAT RESOURCES OF URAL FOR THE NEEDS OF WAR PRODUCTION (1941-1945)

Abstract. The article by the materials of Ural analyzes the historical experience of using peat fuel resources in regional economy under war conditions. The author pays special attention to identifying the importance and place of peat in fuel balance, in satisfying the industrial demands of defense enterprises. The paper examines the problems of the replenishment of industry with labour resources, shows the contribution of peat cutters into the strengthening of the fuel basis of war production.
