SOCIAL REVOLUTION: ANOMALY OF HISTORY OR PHENOMENON OF SOCIALITY?

Abstract. The article introduces the interpretation of the social nature, role and function of revolution, presents a review of the basic approaches of the modern philosophical discourse of social revolution. The author identifies the key ideas, on the basis of which the negative image of social revolution is created. The paper examines the transformations of the 90s of the XX century in Russia, reveals the typical features that allow identifying these processes as a revolution. The researcher argues for the thesis on the non-accidental nature of revolution in history, on the possibility for a revolution in the XXI century.
