MODERN FRENCH NATIONAL SECURITY POLICY

Abstract. The article examines the French policy in the sphere of national security and defense. The paper analyzes the evolution from the policy of military and political restraint towards the policy of military interventions conducted by France regarding African countries. The author describes the reasons for this restraint and the reasons for the transition to the policy of military interventions. The research focuses on the interaction of France and Great Britain in the sphere of defense over the last five years.
